The person behind STANCE
Fuelled by good ideas, good coffee and a little Mediterranean sunshine.
STANCE is an independent PR and communications consultancy founded by moi, Camille (hi!).
With 5+ years of experience across PR, SEO and media relations, I've worked with agencies, startups and international brands across the UK, US, France, Germany, Australia, Canada and Spain.
My work sits at the intersection of PR, storytelling and organic visibility, turning data, ideas and expertise into campaigns that earn attention and build authority.
After years of agency-side work, I decided to build something of my own: a more personal, flexible approach to PR, working closely with brands to find the ideas that make them worth noticing.
Let’s clear a few things up!
-
Digital PR sits at the intersection of PR, content and search. It uses ideas, stories and campaigns to earn media coverage, brand mentions and visibility beyond a brand's own channels.
For me, it's not about chasing backlinks. It's about creating something people, and journalists, genuinely want to talk about.
-
Search doesn't happen in a vacuum. Media coverage, brand mentions and links from authoritative websites can all contribute to how a brand is discovered and perceived online.
PR helps build those signals while putting the brand in front of real audiences too.
-
Usually, it's not the size of the budget or the brand behind it. It's the idea.
The strongest campaigns have something genuinely interesting to say, whether that's a surprising piece of data, a cultural trend, an expert perspective or a story people recognise themselves in.
-
Yes, but they're not the whole story.
A relevant link from a trusted publication can still be valuable for SEO, but good PR shouldn't be reduced to link building. The best campaigns earn coverage because the story deserves attention, with the SEO benefits following naturally.
-
Absolutely. Being consistently mentioned by credible publications, experts and other trusted sources can change how a brand is perceived online.
The aim isn't simply to be visible. It's to become associated with a subject, expertise or idea that you want to be known for.
